This easy to make seafood dish is especially delightful to tuna lovers. Very little ingredients is needed and what you end up with is a rather refreshing meal that doesn’t make you feel too heavy in the stomach.
This sesame seared tuna recipe is good for 4 servings and will only take 20 minutes of your time. Do take your time to indulge in the meal itself though!

Ingredients needed:
- 4 slices of 6 ounce fresh of frozen tuna fillets, about 3/4 inch thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 3 tablespoons orange juice
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
Cooking method:
- If the fish is frozen, thaw it. Rinse it and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a large pan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the tuna and cook for about 8 minutes, or until the tuna flakes easily when tested with a fork (it can be slightly pink in the center). Turn the fish over once.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, stir together the hoisin sauce and orange juice. Let it heat through.
- Remove the fish to serving plates and drizzle the sauce over it.
- Sprinkle the fish with sesame seeds.
