Ingredients needed:

  • 2 cups bottled spaghetti sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 9 ounce refridgerated or frozen cheese or meat-filled ravioli
  • 1 egg
  • 15 ounce ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (1 ounce)
  • 1- ounce frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Cooking method:

  1. In a pan, combine spaghetti sauce and water and bring the mixture to boil. Stir in the ravioli.
  2. Cover and cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, or until the ravioli are tender, stirring once to prevent sticking.
  3. Meanwhile, beat the egg with a fork in a bowl. Stir in the ricotta cheese and the 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese.
  4. Dot the ravioli with spinach and spoon the ricotta mixture on top of the spinach.
  5. Cover and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, or until the ricotta layer is set and the pasta is tender.
  6. Sprinkle individual servings with additional Parmesan cheese and serve hot.
