Nowadays lots of supermoms make their kids home made burgers instead of eating unhealthy burgers at fast food chains. And it’s a great thing to do, thumbs up to these supermoms! It’s not just the kids who love burgers, for we as adults also yearn for a delicious burger every once in a while. And since it’s home made, you can control how healthy the burger is (perhaps minus the fries?).
Here’s a super simple recipe to make home made burgers. The preparation will take you about 15 minutes whilst the grilling of the meat will take another 14 minutes. In just a half hour, you will have four good servings of a yummy burger set on the table or packed into lunchboxes with love!

Ingredients needed:
- 1.5 pounds ground lamb or ground beef
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 kaiser rolls, split and toasted
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese with peppercorns (2 ounces)
- 4 tomato slices
- 1 tablespoon snipped fresh mint
Cooking method:
- Shape the ground lamb or beef into four 3/4 inch thick patties. Place the patties on a greased rack of an uncovered grill directly over medium heat.
- Grill for 14 to 18 minutes, or until done (70 degrees Celcius), turning once.
- Meanwhile, place the lettuce leaves on the bottom of the rolls. When the patties are done, place them on top of the lettuce.
- Add feta cheese, tomato slices and mint.
- Top the burgers with the top of the kaiser rolls.
