Make your own delicious focaccia breadsticks with this quick and easy recipe. It’s a quick snack that’s great for tea. Alternatively, serve up this focaccia breadsticks fresh and hot from the oven on your breakfast table. The aroma of the breadsticks is enough to tantalize your family’s tastebuds.

This easy to make recipe will only take 15 minutes of your time to prepare and about 12 minutes to bake, and serves up to 10 breadsticks. Enjoy!

Ingredients needed:

  • 1/4 cup oil-packed dried tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1.5 teaspoons snipped fresh rosemary or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
  • 1/8 teaspoon cracked black pepper
  • 10 ounce refridgerated pizza dough

 

Cooking method:

  1. Lightly grease a baking sheet and set it aside.
  2. Drain the tomatoes and reserve 2 teaspoons of the oil.
  3. Snip the tomatoes finely.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the tomatoes, reserved oil, cheese, water, rosemary and pepper. Set this aside.
  5. Unroll the pizza dough and on a lightly floured surface roll the dough into a 10×8 inch rectangle.
  6. Spread the tomato mixture evenly crosswise over half of the dough.
  7. Fold the plain half of the dough over the tomato mixture spread and press lightly to seal the edges.
  8. Cut the folder dough lengthwise into ten 1/2 inch wide strips.
  9. Fold each strip in half and twist them 2 to 3 times.
  10. Place them 1 inch apart from each other on the prepared baking sheet.
  11. Bake in a 180 degree Celcius oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  12. Cool the breadsticks on a wire rack.
