Want to try a different kind of soup? If you’re serving a family with kids, you may want to skip this since it contains alcohol. But this spicy and tasty beer, cheese and bacon soup makes a great appetizer for a nice, intimate party.
This soup takes 15 minutes to cook and serves up to 8 persons.

Ingredients needed:
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 cups milk
- 12-ounce can beer
- 10.5 ounche can condensed chicken broth
- 3 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (12 ounces)
- 10 slics bacon, crisp-cooked, drained and crumbled
Cooking method:
- In a large saucepan, cook the onion in hot butter until tender.
- Stir in the flour, dry mustard, paprika and cayenne pepper.
- Gradually stir in the milk, beer and chicken broth.
- Constantly stir it for 1 more minute and reduce the heat.
- Add in the cheese and stir until it becomes smooth.
- Stir in the bacon.
- Serve warm.
